I do have my own bookstore! That way I will never run out of things to read!
One of my favorite reads this year was actually done by a comic artist. It's not for everyone because it discusses book terms that a dealer uses in descriptions of used books. However, it's a good learning tool!
It takes very dry strange-sounding descriptions and gives us a visual picture.
Such as, "Slightly foxed, but still desireable." That means it has little brown spots on the pages from a moisture/paper reaction. There can be a few or lot. Slightly means not many. Still desireable is supposed to lead you into buying it because it's not that bad. (I don't use this description myself - I go into more detail.)
Now picture a gal in the library with a sexy dress that's a bit tattered, with some brown spots on it and her hair sagging, guys arms reaching for her, and that saying under it...
What can say, I even enjoy jokes about books!
